Study: Symbiotic lifestyle of segmented filamentous bacteria (SFB) revealed by single-cell genomics: SFB-3.
show Abstracthide Abstract
Isolation of five individual segmented filamentous bacteria (SFB, Candidatus Arthromitus, Clostridiaceae) filaments from a fecal sample from a BALB/c SFB-monocolonized mouse on a microfluidic chip using laser-tweezers. Cells were lyzed, their genomes amplified, and sequenced. Assemblies were obtained for each individual SFB metagenome, and a co-assembly was obtained based on combining the reads from the five individual metagenomes.
Sample: Candidatus Arthromitus sp. SFB-3 single filament from mouse
